Uncle Bruce Comes to Visit!!

We were lucky to see Bruce twice within a month! He flew to MN for his cousin's 50th birthday party and we were able to get some quality time in again! Nadia has a slight infatuation with him and was so excited to get to play and read books.

Nadia loves to run around the kitchen island and ottoman in the living room...she made sure to let Bruce get in on the fun.

Copper Mountain!!

We met my family at Copper Mountain, CO last weekend...what a GREAT place to spend a weekend! For those of you who haven't been there, I highly recommend it. The slopes were great (so I heard), the drinks were good and the atmosphere was the best!
Darren's Uncle Bruce was able to drive down and meet us for a night. Nadia loves her uncle Bruce and didn't let him out of her sights very much! The first day of skiing, Darren ran into his cousin Tyler...small world!! Bruce cooked hamburgers and hot dogs for us all on Saturday out by the slopes. It was a great day!
There was an area called CritterLand that was so much fun for Nadia. Of course, she loved the slide the best! Mauren is getting so big and has such a laid back, happy personality. She is such a sweetie...

Heat Wave!!

41 degrees has never felt so warm!! We finally have an upcoming week of temps in the 40's and we took advantage of it today! Darren went to the gym to run his 15 miles so I took Nadia outside to play...it's been so cold this winter that this is one of the first times that we've gone out and played in the snow.

Where's the grass, Mom?

Who needs a beach when you have all this snow?? It works just as good as sand!

Sickness and Superbowl

Nadia got hit with her first cold of the year and it was a doozy. She had the worst cough and we ended up keeping her home for 4 days...poor baby! Only because she was sick...I gave in and let her have a sucker and didn't force her to let me brush her hair...Darren got to spend his Super Bowl Sunday with 5 girls! Nadia and Nora LOVE playing together and it was pure entertainment watching them! Nadia is definitely the instigator and Nora likes to follow suit since she is younger. They pushed their dollies around the pool table and emptied the drawers in our bar.

Nora Time!

We went way too long without seeing Nora so we made sure to get a lot of time with her this weekend! Nadia and I had a slumber party at Lisa and Meg's house on Friday night and we all had a blast...well, Megan might think differently. She spent the night cleaning a dog accident in the bathroom and scrubbing the staircase after Lisa tumbled down with a glass of red wine in her hand...Oops! The night ended with a knock on the door and a stranger holding Meg's wallet...she dropped it outside of a store and someone drove to her house and delivered it!! There are some good people left in the world!

Nadia and Nora couldn't be more opposite, but they sure have fun together! This was the first play date where they played together...well, 'play together' if you count Nadia walking up to Nora and taking all of her toys away and Nora being so sweet and not whining at all!

Meg and I weren't paying close enough attention to Nadia...she decided to give herself a facial with butt cream...I'll let you know if her cheeks are soft as a babies bottom...

On Sunday, we went to the Mall of America to see Underwater Adventures. The girls loved the sea life and Lisa was more scared of sharks swimming around her than the babies!

New Years Eve

Wow, have our New Years Eve parties changed in the past 2 years! This year we spent the evening at a friend's house in Buffalo, MN. They have a 2 year old son and another friend came as well who has a 2 year old. The kids had a great time eating, playing with all of Nolan's toys and watching Toy Story.

The kids went to bed around 10:30 and the parents actually made it up until Midnight!!
