Our old neighbors, Andy and Jenn talked Darren and I into doing the Muddy Buddy. For those of you who haven't heard of this, it's a 6 mile race where you partner with somebody. One person starts out riding a bike and the other runs. After about a mile, there is an obstacle course and then you switch with your partner. At the end of the course there is a 30 foot mud pit that you and your partner have to army crawl through to finish. It was a blast, but very hard!! 
The event took place at a ski resort in MN which should have been my first clue. We went straight up the ski slope for 2 legs of the 4 leg race. It was so steep that the bikers had to push their bikes up the mountain...ok, we do live in MN so it was more like a very steep hill!
We hadn't hung out with Andy in Jenn in quite a while and made the mistake of staying up a bit too late the night before and possibly having a few too many cocktails. It made for a tough race, but was well worth it! :)
