Birthday Dinner

This is the 3rd year that we've met some of my friends/colleagues at a German restaurant in town. There are 4 of us with back to back birthdays and this has become a fun tradition! Mom has been here helping us with Nadia so she was able to go with this year.

'The boot' is a MONSTER beer that someone at the table buys and is passed around. There are rules that you have to obey or you are forced to drink:

1. When you get the boot, you must say 'Hi boot'

2. You CANNOT let the boot touch the table

3. Before passing the boot on to the next person, you have to flick it

4. Because of the shape, beer tends to splash you in the face, if this happens, you have to take an additional drink.

Let's just say that my Mother broke every rule. Thank goodness I was the DD! :) She also got to experience the snuff (flavored tobacco) that they shoot up your nose.


The Bavarian Platter for 2 (Every Kuhn Man's dream)!!!!!! This will be about 6 meals for this household...

It was a fun night!
