The Newest 4 Legged Kuhn!

Yes-I said 4 legged! For those who know Darren, I never thought that I would post that we now have a DOG let alone say that we have a small, lap dog that is a house pet. If Halloween didn't prove that he'd do anything for his daughter, this definately does!!

Nadia has been wanting a puppy for a while now and Patches sort of fell into our laps. A colleague of Darren's got him for her girls a few months ago and unfortunately one of the girls was very allergic to him. So, he found his way to us.

What's up little dude?

The 3 babies

She's not excited at all!
We surprised Nadia with him and she was SO excited. Patches is a Yorkshire Biewer and the best little puppy. He LOVES Nadia. I've never seen a puppy who takes so much interest in a 3 year old, but he loves to sit on her lap and play with her. We are so happy with him!

The newest 2 legged Kuhn!

Darren's Grandpa used to always call the Kuhn's the 2 legged Kuhn's. :) We are excited to announce the newest addition! Dane Joseph (DJ) was born on Thursday, Nov 1st at 7:45 a.m. He weighed 7lbs 13oz-a full 3lbs heavier than his sister when she was born!
Twas the night before baby!

First time I got to see DJ!

Nadia loved my bed! Caribou hot chocolate, my ipad and a bed that has buttons...what more could a 3 year old ask for?

Let's get out of here!!

DJ has been such a good baby! We've been home for 2 nights and so far, we've only had to get up once/night to feed him. He only cries when he's hungry and is just a calm little guy!

My parents are staying with us for a few weeks to help out. It has been SO nice to have them here. They cook, they clean and they help give some attention to Nadia. Nadia and YaYa had a slumber party last night in the basement.

Life is really good in the Kuhn house! We are so thankful for good health, family and friends!

A Fairy Halloween!

Most of you have seen pics of Darren and my Dad on facebook, but there are never enough men in tights on the Internet! We had such a fun Halloween. My parents and Darrell and Dorita were all here and Nadia loved having everyone around to see her in her costume and take her trick or treating.

The Crew-Yes Darren has wings on!

Nadia loves the movie Thumbelina so we (Darren not included) decided that Nadia would be Thumbelina, Darren could be Prince Cornelius and Dad could be the bumble bee - Buzzbe that the prince flew on. :) Oh did I have some fun with this!! Thankfully, Darren and Dad are great sports. Nadia decided that Yaya would be a witch and me a pumpkin. We got off pretty easy!

I like your wings PaPa!

My last Odouls EVER!

This and That

We went bowling a few weeks ago and they even had a little pair for Nadia! Jessica and Kevin were staying with us for the weekend and Darren wanted to get some pointers from Kevin.

Play time with Dad

I think Darren is excited to have a boy-what a good Dad!

Playing with sparklers in the garage...in their princess crowns. :)

Nadia has enjoyed pregnant Mommy who always has sweets in the house

10 Days to go!!!!!!!!!!

Fall Festival

We have been packing it in the past month before the baby gets here. Aunt Dana asked if she could take Nadia back to the farm with her for Pheasant Hunting Opener. We always go back for it...it's typically bigger than Christmas in ND and a huge family affair. Darren and I couldn't go since it was so close to our due date. So...I drove Nadia to Fargo and she got to spend some quality time with her Aunt Dana and the rest of the Kuhn clan. Darren and I spent the time going to vball games, happy hours and a movie. It was a busy weekend for us, but way too quiet in our house!

We met Lisa, Meg, Nora, Hana, Henry, Miles and Milla at the corn maze today. The kids had a blast-the adults couldn't stop talking about how EXPENSIVE everything was. Yikes!

Boston 2014!

For those of you who followed Darren during his Boston Marathon race, you know that he was very disappointed with his time. Don't get me wrong, he was so happy to finish is those temps, but disappointed in the fact that he made it to Boston and then had to slow down that much due to weather. Of course, he was looking at what race he could do next about a week after we were home. Boston changed qualifying times so he would have to beat 3:10 in order to qualify again-his PR was 3:13 (I believe).

Once again, Darren amazed all of us! My friends Lisa and Krista came with me to cheer him on without any kids so we could make it around the course. Each time we saw him he had a smile on his face and was feeling good! We didn't make it to the finish-he was too fast for us, and I only got one picture that day! 3:04:40 was his official time-INSANE!
So-back to Boston we go! Darren had the choice of waiting until 2014 and decided to give his body a break (sort of-he already has a training plan that he started). :)

The TC Marathon also has family events all weekend and Nadia ran in the Toddler Trot-a 50 yard dash with a bunch of other 3 yr olds. It was hilarious!
So...Boston 2014!! Any friends/family who want to go...start saving now! It's an expensive trip but well worth it! My Mom has already agreed to watch the kids for us so we can enjoy some of Boston that we didn't get to before-BARS! Wahoo! :)

Labor Day Weekend

We all flew out to SD to spend Labor Day weekend with my family and Darren's parents. I was supposed to fly to NYC for my last work trip before baby arrives and it was postponed so Nadia and I changed our flights and flew in on Tuesday. That worked out well!! Darren flew in on Friday after work and met us.

Nadia loved being at YaYa and Papa's house. She had her routine down where YaYa let her watch a disney movie in the morning to start her day.

We were busy most of the time going to the lake, riding horses, 4 wheeling and playing with Mauren.

We all rented 4 wheelers for a day and went riding near Deadwood. It was so much fun-the girls were strapped in their car seats and didn't complain/whine all day while we were out on the trails. It was extremely dusty and everyone was a mess at the end of the day, but well worth it!!

I did a horrible job with pictures this trip. We got to spend a lot of time with my cousins Shelly, Kaley and Lane and I didn't get one picture with them! Ugh! Nadia LOVED playing with Lane and is still talking about him. :)

Nadia's request for bfast-caramel rolls! She loved her little table

Dad's new toy

Don't kill me Mom-We had the whole beach to ourselves!

Papa teaching Mauren how to fish

The girls got to fish in a neighbor's pond that was loaded with sunfish. They could just drop their poles in and catch one-so fun!
